Cold first week of June

Last year it was in the 80’s for the first week in June. Not this year – 50’s and 60’s ruled. For those of us who braved the weather it was a good biking week.

Monday Laura and I had a good ride with some intervals. It helps going with someone else to push you on those days you can’t push yourself.

Wednesday was a rainy day but in the evening it cleared up and we rode under blue skies and sun.

Karen, Laura, Shari and I rode up to Elkhorn and out Juniper Rd. (Twin Creeks). We had a fun ride. Coming home was a breeze – literally. We were riding at 25-30 mph without even trying because we had a tail wind.

Friday Marsha, Leslie and I rode along Broadford to the Riverbend Coffeehouse and had a beverage break there. It was a good thing I had made a plan because I wouldn’t have ridden in the cold and wind that day. But we ended up having a good day even though we had head or side winds going both ways. It was fun to do something different.
